UPCOMING EVENTS: 

Baby it's cold outside....Nahhh, it's not cold yet, but, you will find refrigerators throughout the Old Market! Why, you ask? It's part of an art campaign hosted by the Omaha Public Power District to raise awareness about energy efficiency. Very cool! Come take a walk around the Old Market and check out the numerous exhibits on the corners. Don't worry you won't get chilly and you won't hear your dad telling you to "shut the door"!

MEETING NOTICE -  

  • Old Market General Membership Meeting will be Tuesday,  January 3 @ 9am to 9:30am @ Embassy Suites in the Old Market. Everyone is welcome! Don't miss out on this informative meeting and a chance to visit with your neighbors!  January's meeting will be short with a "Master Your Card" Fraud Prevention  presentation at 9:30am to 11:00am. Everyone is welcome....same location at the Embassy Suites Old Market.  An additional session will be held on this topic at 5pm to 6:30pm on Tuesday, January 3.

WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO DO... 

  • ART WALK...First Friday Art Walks take place every month. Join us on Friday, January 6th! Neighborhood galleries welcome you to stop by browse, purchase and enjoy visiting with the artists. The Passageway (11th & Howard) in the Old Market is home to three galleries all with something special to kick off the New Year! Also, offering a special New Year festivity is the Artists Cooperative Gallery (11th & Harney). All in all you will find something "artsy" and fabulous each first Friday of the month. About a dozen galleries in the Old Market participate within a 6 block area! Fun for all and it's FREE!! Information maps are available at all galleries. Look for more details for 2012! 

 

  • TAKE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD...Where do the tourists go to in Omaha? The Old Market! Where do the people of Omaha bring their visiting friends and relatives? The Old Market! Known as Omaha's "Arts and Entertainment District" there is something to do every single day. The Old Market is located on the the Famous Downtown 10th Street Corridor.  Everything happens along 10th Street and the Old Market is situated right in the middle of it all! Join us for a night on the town to celebrate or an afternoon of shopping. In Summer or Winter you will find plenty of places to perch and watch the world go by.
