UPCOMING EVENTS: 

Old Market Trick or Treat!  Sunday, October 28 @ 1pm to 4pm. FREE!!! Fun for the entire family. This event is in it's 5th year and going strong. Get in costume and stroll the Old Market. Participating merchants will be handing out treats. Interact with strolling characters. Music and activities throughout the market. Storytelling sites will be located throughout the Old Market. Maps will be available the day of the event at 11th & Howard information booth.

New this year..."Books Are Treats". Metro Community College, Metrol Transit and Friends of the Old Market have joined with the OMBA (Old Market Business Association) to bring "Books Are Treats" to this family festival. FREE books are available to all on the Metro Transit Book Bus. So, stop  by and treat your children to books!

First Fridays - ART for ONE and ART for ALL! Stroll the gallery's on Friday night and enjoy! 5:30pm to 9pm....FREE! Hop on Ollie the Trolley and ride for free! For more information go to www.FirstFridayOldMarket.com

Farmer's Market! - Each Saturday and every year in the Spring, Summer and Fall @ 8:00am to 12:30pm! 2012 schedule is May 5 to October 13. Join the good folks who bring fresh grown produce, homemade goods and delicious food itmes! It's the mark of the beginning of Summer...FREE to the public. Come join the fun. Located on 11th Street between Howard and Jackson. It's healthy, it's entertaining and it's FUN!

All meetings are at 9am to 10:00am @ Embassy Suites in the Old Market. WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO DO... 

  • FIRST FRIDAYS! This celebration of Art, Music and Fun takes place every month on the first Friday. Neighborhood galleries welcome you to stop by browse, purchase and enjoy visiting with the artists.  All in all you will find something "artsy" and fabulous each first Friday of the month. About a dozen galleries in the Old Market participate within a 6 block area. Several music venues will be sprinkled throughout the Old Market.  Park and Ride for free with Ollie The Trolley circulating between the parking lots on 13th St, Leavenworth, 10th St and Harney. Fun for all and it's FREE between 6pm and 9pm.  Information maps are available at all galleries.  

Historic Walking Tour of the Old Market (Self Guided - pick up a directory at various locations) - Get up close and personal with "turn of the century" buildings and find out what all of the fuss is about. Great way to get some excercise, free entertainment, family friendly. Building plaques attached to the outside of historic buildings with a narrative of the history. This project supported by the Douglas County Visitor Commission.
